We can work with existing furniture/décor or start afresh with new pieces. You choose the level of service desired; from a 1.5hour consult to full end-to-end decorating.

IN-HOME DECORATING
The Process
Designing and decorating a home can be overwhelming. At Door42 Interiors we aim to simplify the process and make it as enjoyable as possible. I will communicate with you at every stage so there's no guesswork involved. Here is a step-by-step process of how I work.
We Meet
To gain a clear perspective of your project we'll begin with a 90 minute design consultation. During this consult we will assess and review your space/s together, and then discuss your project needs and wish-lists.
What you get:
- 90 minutes of my undivided attention; ask anything you want!
- Analysis for the areas to be decorated.
- Specific styling advice for your needs.
- Recommendations that suit your budget and decor style.
- Recommendations on stores to source your decor needs
- Summary email of the consult
Price: From $225
Consultations can be booked as a stand-alone service where you can consult with us for design support during your project. Check out our consultation packages here.
If you’d like to hire our full services for the project then we move to the next step!
We Agree
Following our initial consult, you'll be presented with a Client Proposal which once accepted contracts us to begin your project. The proposal outlines the Scope of Works, fees charged and business terms for your project. A 50% deposit is required at this stage for work to begin and then we’re ready to go!
Your New Look is Designed
This is the fun part! You will be presented with a full interiors concept which includes:
- Sample Boards showing fabric, tiles and paint colour options
- Product Boards showing furniture and décor items
- 2D or 3D Layout Plan showing spatial arrangement of new furniture/décor.
This is where we collaborate! You'll be involved in all key decisions and selection processes. Only after your approval of the concept do we go on to the next stage of specifying/sourcing furnishings.
I'll Specify and Source Items
You'll be provided with a shopping list for each space featuring all suggested furniture/decor in HD images along with their specs and prices. After firm selections are made you can of course choose to source items yourself using the list.
If preferred, items can be sourced on your behalf. In this case you'll be invoiced for items which when paid for will allow us organise ordering and delivery with suppliers.
Your Space is Styled
After all your furnishings are received, the final stage will be a visit or video call to ensure everything is satisfactory. I will also use this time for some final styling which include décor or art items placed around the home, or repositioning existing furniture/décor pieces.
Note: My level of involvement in any project is totally dependent on the client. I’m there to help with decision making, for individual stages of your project, or to hold your hand throughout the entire process!

VIRTUAL/E-DESIGN SERVICES
A convenient and affordable way to refresh and transform your home at your own pace, with guidance from me. Our E-Design option is perfect if:
- You’re time restricted
- Located in a regional or remote area
- You don’t want to commit to a full end-to-end decorating service
- You're the 'hands-on' type
We'll digitally design and submit a new look for any space/s in your home. Like the in-person service, each E-Design project is customised to suit personal style. Simply purchase the E-Décor package most suited to your needs and let’s get working!
What you get:
- Room by room analysis if decorating the whole house.
- Concept/Mood Board(s) - Featuring hi-quality images of colour themes and suggested furniture and accessories .
- Furniture Layout Plan (optional) - Showing arrangement of furniture and accessories
- Shopping List- Detailed shopping lists showing all project items and where to buy them
- Style Guide: Guidelines on styling your space like a pro!
The Process
After purchasing any E-Design package you'll be directed to our E-Design platform to begin our collaborative process.
Your part:
- Follow the prompts to create login details.
- Complete the E-Design questionnaire giving as much info as possible.
- Upload hi-quality images of your space(s). Where possible include an image of your floor-plan (can be a sketch if a plan is not available). The floor plan will be used to illustrate your new furniture arrangement.
- Attach images of décor that grabs your interest; can be off Pinterest or any visual platform.
Our part:
- On receipt of your order we'll touch base via email to ensure we’re on the same page regarding your project.
- We'll design your new style concept and submit. Time-frame for submission depends on the scale of your project which will be confirmed in our email to you.
- We'll send a web link prompting you to log in and view your project on our digital design platform. Your new styling concept can be replicated exactly or used as a guide to achieve your vision.
- Depending on purchased package we'll review your new look together and make changes as you require.
- After you've made selections we'll mail a detailed product list with web-links for easy purchase of selected products and services.
- When furnishings are received you’re ready to decorate at your own pace following the 3D furniture layout and styling tips supplied.

Consultation Packages
Looking to refresh certain features in your home or perhaps you’re embarking on a new build and need help selecting interior finishes? Or maybe you need is a 2nd pair of eyes to help you pull your style together.
Purchase a consult package to get assistance on anything from the start of the job to the finishing touches. Consult hours can be broken up and used as desired until purchased package runs out; whether you only need a 30-minute video catch up per consult up or a 1.5 hr- store meet up.
You’ll receive an Interior Finishes scheme for your use, or to pass on to your Trades/builder.
